Personalized tax and accounting guidance from an Enrolled Agent
Apex Tax Associates is an independent firm in Glendale, serving individuals, business owners, and investors in Greater Los Angeles and across the United States.

Meet Artin Shahmirzaian, EA
Artin is the founder of Apex Tax Associates and an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential the IRS awards. Enrolled Agents are licensed by the federal government and are enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS on audits, collections, and appeals.
He began his career in 2014 and spent the next decade at accounting firms of different sizes, working with corporations, partnerships, real estate investors, and individuals. That work covered business and individual tax preparation, accounting, financial reporting, tax planning, and complex tax matters.
In 2024 he opened Apex Tax Associates to offer something larger firms often cannot: one experienced professional who knows your file, answers your calls, and thinks about your taxes before the deadline, not only at it.

What "Enrolled Agent" means for you
To earn the credential, an EA passes a three-part IRS exam covering individual taxation, business taxation, and representation, then completes continuing education every year. Unlike many preparers, an EA can stand in for you if the IRS sends a notice or opens an audit.
Talk through your situation, free for 30 minutes.
Call, email, or send a message. We'll tell you plainly whether we're a good fit and what it would cost.
